If you are working in social services, respite care, community services, residential units, voluntary services or as a home help, then this QQI Level 5 Certificate in Community Care (5M2786) will be beneficial to you.

This Major Award is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge to care for clients in a safe and hygienic environment. You will learn about the roles and responsibilities of the Care Worker and acquire practical skills for work in the caring environments.

You will also gain an understanding of the nursing process, appreciate the models of care, and develop an awareness of nursing ethics and etiquette in care situations. In addition, you will be given the opportunity to further your personal development and enhance your communication skills.

Participant Profile

Participants must be over 21, currently working in a healthcare or community care environment, or have an interest in persuing a career in healthcare.
