Construction/Engineering - Building Construction

Participant Profile:
This course will equip people with a range of construction techniques and a practical
knowledge of the construction principles required for a standard two-storey domestic dwelling.

Course Content:

• Sub-structure, super-structure, roof, floors, internal walls and partitions
  , fireplaces, flues, chimneys, joinery, plumbing and drainage, finishes
• Healthy and safety
• The course will require the participant to complete a practical project. The type of project may vary but its nature will be in consultation with the Tutor.

Accreditation: FETAC (NCVA): Building Construction (C20008), Level 5

This module is worth 2 credits towards a National Certificate in Construction
Studies
