Description

5 Night Cookery class designed to give everyone the basics of how to cook simple nutritious meals.

Format

Interactive cooking demonstrations with hands-on participation.

Recipes provided each week for participants to try at home.

Practical tips on shopping, portioning, and reducing food waste.

Focus on confidence in the kitchen, not perfection.

Week 1 – Store Cupboard & Batch Cooking Made Easy
Quick, affordable small meals that can be used for breakfasts or other small meals that can be prepared and have for the week. We could go through kitchen essentials for core meals. Tating and plate swapping in the last half hour

Week 2 – Energy & Workday Meals
Practical lunches and snacks for busy schedules. Focus on blood sugar balance and sustaining energy. These meals will be savoury based. All work done before the last half hour to allow time to sit and enjoy what cooking is all about.

Week 3 – Family-Friendly Dinners
Nutritious versions of traditional Irish dishes (e.g., healthier shepherd’s pie, hearty stews, one-pot meals). Being able to cook for 3 or 4 people means you can host a dinner party. Tasting and tuck in kicks in with fun and banter.

Week 4 – Finger Bites using plants
Simple plant-forward meals to boost digestion and immunity. Using seasonal veg and wholegrains. Again we finish and set the table in time to enjoy the results

Week 5 – Comfort Food with a Healthy Twist
Lighter takes on favourites baking, focusing on a desserts , finishing with a taste of each others meals and recipe swapping.
