Animal Care (5M2768) QQI Level 5
This hands-on Certificate will teach you how to care for a variety of species in different settings. It will also cover animal husbandry, personal skills, and suitable and safe equipment to use in animal care.
Progression
This course can lead to work in veterinary clinics, dog grooming, animal sanctuaries, pet shops, kennels or catteries. You can also go on to study veterinary nursing or animal science at third level. This course is designed to provide the necessary training and qualifications for participants to
- Work in a small animal practice.
- Work as a veterinary assistant.
- Improve their own knowledge and skills in handling pets.

The course comprises eight modules, four compulsory modules, three elective modules and one optional module
