Digital Skills for Citizenship

Monday nights x 5, 6.40pm-9pm, free

The Digital Skills for Citizens Scheme is part of the Government’s National Digital Strategy, funded by the Department of Communications, Climate Action &
Environment.

Training classes will include the following: 


• An Introduction to the internet

• Internet Safety

• How to send & receive emails

• Using online government services, i.e. Motor Tax, Passports etc. 

• Using online banking services

• How to use “Apps” i.e. weather, traffic, news

• How to use Social Media i.e. Skype, Facebook, Twitter

• Online Shopping

 

Training classes are available to all citizens who have not previously engaged with the internet.

Training is targeted at people over 45, farming communities, small business owners, the unemployed, persons with disabilities and disadvantaged groups.
